What is a School Counselor?
School Counselors promote student success by focusing on development in the areas of academic achievement, college & career readiness, and social-emotional needs. Students see their school counselor in classrooms, and in the counseling office when in need. Students may be referred for check-in appointments or short-term counseling by parents/guardians, teachers, administrators, student requests, or by counselor's observation.
